Galeria Francisco Fino is delighted to announce Diogo Evangelista' s group show "Chama-lhe Apenas Horizonte", at Casa da Cerca, until 24.02.24
In celebration of Casa da Cerca's 30th anniversary, we dedicated the exhibition program to Drawing. This exhibition wants to move forward to 2053 and think about who is designing the future, what will it be like, what will be the concerns? Bringing together the work of several artists from different nationalities who are critically dedicated to drawing in its diverse and multiple overlaps and intersections with sculpture, textiles, ceramics, video, technology, the exhibition is built based on the idea of the future of drawing as an “expanded field” that, by breaking aesthetic, format or spatial limitations, takes on a more investigative and exploratory character. Design has no limits and, by necessity, will always occupy a position of ambiguity. By exploring this ambiguity, the exhibition will bring together artists working at the intersection of postcolonialism and human diaspora, contemporary transits and borders, spiritual cosmologies and ancestral traditions, technology, sustainability and ecological thinking.
