Diversités. Une composition d’œuvres de la collection du Frac Bretagne

DIVERSITÉS- WORKS FROM THE FRAC BRETAGNE COLLECTION AND THE ILLE-ET-VILAINE DEPARTMENTAL CONTEMPORARY ART FUND

Based on a collection of contemporary artworks built up since the early 80s and now comprising 5,500 works, the Frac Bretagne is developing its mission to raise awareness of art throughout the region, encouraging encounters, exchanges and sharing.

The new collaboration between Frac Bretagne and the town of Saint-Pol-de-Léon is part of this dynamic, making contemporary art accessible to all.

The selection of works from the Frac Bretagne collection is inspired by the emblematic figure of the artist Frida Kahlo, who will be celebrated by the town in 2023.

Through various fields of the visual arts (photography, sculpture, painting, video, etc.), the Diversités exhibition deals with issues of feminism and commitment, as well as the themes of portraiture and identity, dear to the Mexican artist.
