Galeria Francisco Fino is delighted to announce the opening of José Pedro Cortes' Patrícia, September 15th.
Patrícia, the new solo exhibition by José Pedro Cortes, is a portrait of Olympic athlete Patrícia Mamona, recorded between 2018 and 2021, the years before the Tokyo Olympics, where she won the Silver medal in the Triple Jump. In an installation composed of several video projections and photographs, we observe the athlete's training, in a movement of approximation to the explosion, the pause and the repetition of her body movements.
