From March 4th to 30th, Vasco Araújo presents Romance, a new installation developed in six movements, six excerpts from an autobiographical narrative or fiction, requiring the viewer to travel around the city of Lisbon in order to fully experience, read and apprehend it.
Curated by Sara Antónia Matos and Pedro Faro, the six parts that make up the work coincide with six chapters of a novel that can be collected on sheets on plinths at each location.
Responding to an invitation by The Municipal Galleries and the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar, Vasco Araújo’s ‘Romance’ can can be found at the entrances of the six EGEAC Contemporary Art Spaces, as part of the annual project “A Work in Six Parts”, which began in 2024.
