Titled Zero, this new body of work by Diogo Evangelista explores the symbolic value of the egg as a heavily charged archetypal sign that brings-up notions of beginning and end; the alpha and omega of all things; the container of all life; and the circle, which is before speech and thought, the inaccessible unknown. Numbers represent the lawful order of the universe, and preceding them is zero, which is the un-manifest, the nothingness which comes before all things.
