Sabotage, 2013
In geometry, intersecting planes are planes that meet. At the intersection they split while at the same time coming together as an inseparable unit. Rui Valério’s work is similar. It materializes the intersection as unexpected connections are matched, combined and remixed. His artistic work explores three fundamental axes: an experimentalist attitude, a connection and transposition between sound/musical world and visual/artistic world, and references to conceptual art history.
