Bamboo structure
Cropped out of the final scene of the action TransPlants (2024),
Le Capitalocène Captif depicts a sort of shrine in the form of
a bamboo bird cage containing a copy of the book “Le Capitalocène” – by French author Armel Campagne –, a mandarine,
a root, instant coffee, Pu’er tea, incense, ceramic cups, a dead
dragonfly, and pieces of broken mirror. The installation evokes
a cast spelled by the artist.
